General George Smith Patton Jr. (November 11, 1885 – December 21, 1945), aka “Old Bloods and Guts”, was a brilliant but controversial general. He successfully lead US troops in North Africa where he fought and won against Rommel, and during the Invasion of Sicily he was the first Allied commander to reach Messina. One of his most famous achievements was at the Battle of the Bulge, where he turned and force-marched his entire army to the relief of the besieged Americans at Bastogne.
