The Nakajima B5N, called "Kate" by the Allies, was a standard carrier torpedo bomber of the Imperial Japanese Navy during WWII. The B5N first saw combat in the Sino-Japanese War, and later variants were used in the attack on Pearl Harbor. Later in the war it was used in secondary roles, such as training, target towing, and anti-submarine warfare.
