Panzer III- E command tank, Greece, 1941.

The Panzer III-E was the fifth version of the German Panzer III medium tank. This version had a 30 mm armor all-round, except for the rear, which made it heavier than its predecessors. The suspension was redesigned and used six road wheels per side instead of five and a 300 PS HL 120 engine. The Panzer III-E had a main armament of a 1x 3.7 cm KwK 36 gun and secondary armament of 2–3x 7.92 mm MG 34 machine guns. This variant was first introduced in 1939 with 96 units being manufactured.
