The Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress was an American four-engine heavy bomber used by the United States Army Air Forces and the Royal Air Force in WWII. The B-17 was primarily used for strategic bombing of German industrial and military targets, but also in the Pacific War where it was used in raids against Japanese shipping and airfields. The aircraft had the reputation of being a very effective bomber and it dropped more bombs than any other U.S. aircraft in WWII. The B-17 was also known for being able to endure heavy battle damage, while still being able to reach its target and bring the crew home safe.

The B-17 Flying Fortress is known as a late game card that is very crucial for Control and Ramp decks. It's most powerful feature is that it "destroys a random enemy unit upon deployment," This ability is very effective at destroying late game units such as Panzer IV F2, that would otherwise be hard to deal with. The best way to use it, is to try and kill all the disposable enemy units you can (such as Light Infantry), and wait until you are sure that the unit B-17 will hit a target that you think is worth hitting. The 5/5 Heavy Armor 1 Bomber is the cherry on top of the cake, as it can even deal with most enemy fighters.
