Aerial Reconaissance is a Tactical Order in Kards - The WWII CCG.

RAF Photographers testing cameras before installing them in a PR Mosquito, ca 1942-43.

In 1928 the RAF developed an electrical heating system for aerial cameras which allowed reconnaissance aircraft to take pictures at a high altitude without the camera parts freezing. At the start of WWII the RAF developed high speed Spitfire PR variants that had their armament replaced with 5 cameras and could take photographs from up to 30,000 feet. Other aircraft were also adapted for photo-reconnaissance missions, such as the British Mosquito, the American P-38 Lightning and P-51 Mustang.
